Roles and Responsibilities:

The committee is typically responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of various activities.

• Formulate and review policies and guidelines aimed at preventing and addressing ragging incidents on campus.
• Ensure that anti-ragging policies are communicated to all students, faculty, and staff.
• Organize orientation programs for new students to raise awareness about the negative consequences of ragging.
• Set up confidential mechanisms for reporting ragging incidents, allowing victims and witnesses to report without fear of retaliation.
• Promptly investigate reported cases of ragging to determine the facts and take appropriate action.
• Take disciplinary actions against individuals found guilty of engaging in or abetting ragging activities.
• Provide support and counseling services to victims of ragging to help them cope with the psychological and emotional impact.
• Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the effectiveness of anti-ragging measures.
• Work in collaboration with student bodies, clubs, and organizations to promote a culture of mutual respect and discourage ragging.
• Involve faculty members in anti-ragging initiatives and encourage them to be vigilant in preventing and reporting incidents.
• Conduct workshops for students to educate them about the consequences of ragging and the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful campus environment.
• Maintain records of reported ragging incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
• Implement programs to prevent the occurrence of ragging, including mentorship programs, team-building activities, and community-building initiatives.
• Collaborate with external organizations, NGOs, and counseling centers to provide additional support and resources for anti-ragging efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Display anti-ragging posters, banners, and notices across the college campus

• Regularly patrol the college premises, especially in areas where ragging incidents are likely to occur.
• Establish a helpline or a dedicated contact point for reporting ragging incidents.
• Collaborate with college administration, faculty, and other relevant authorities to ensure a unified and effective approach in preventing ragging.
• Conduct counseling sessions for both victims and perpetrators of ragging to address the underlying issues.
• Work closely with student committees and representatives to promote a collaborative effort in preventing ragging.
• Monitor the progress of cases reported and ensure that appropriate disciplinary actions are taken.
• Follow up with victims to provide support and ensure their well-being
