GOVERNING COUNCIL COMMITTEE

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Governing Council, besides being the supreme administrative authority of the college, shall have the following additional functions:

• To develop and review policies related to academic standards, admissions, faculty appointments, student affairs, and other relevant areas.
• To ensure that the policies align with the mission and goals of the engineering college.
• Review and assess the effectiveness of existing strategies and propose new ones as needed.
• Review and approve the annual budget.
• Evaluate the performance of top leadership and make recommendations for improvement or renewal.
• Allocate resources such as funding, faculty positions, and infrastructure based on the college's priorities and needs.
• Monitor and assess the quality of education and research programs.
• Implement mechanisms for continuous improvement.
• Review reports from various departments and committees within the college.
• Provide guidance and feedback on recommendations.
• Identify and assess risks to the college and develop strategies to mitigate them.
